What does Think Technology Australia do?
We provide managed IT support, cyber security and IT consulting for Australian businesses. We look after the technology your business runs on day to day, keep it secure, and give you clear advice on where to invest, so your team can focus on the work that matters. We’ve done this since 1995 and hold ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification.
Where is Think Technology based, and what areas do you cover?
Our head office is in Windsor, Brisbane, and we support businesses across the east coast of Australia, including Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Wagga Wagga. How we deliver support depends on the business. Some teams are spread across several sites and some sit together in one office, so we combine remote and on-site support to suit the way each one works.
How much does managed IT support cost?
Managed IT support is usually priced per user or per device each month, so your cost scales with the size of your team. We build the support plan around your business rather than making your business bend to a fixed package, and we take a bespoke approach so the plan fits both your budget and what you actually need. We scope it with you and set it out clearly before you commit.
How do you keep our business secure?
Security is built into how we run your IT, not added afterwards. There’s no single silver bullet, so protection has to be layered. Good places to start are endpoint and identity threat detection and response (EDR and ITDR), reliable backups, and proactively managing and patching your devices and software, all aligned to recognised standards like the Essential Eight. We’re ISO 27001 certified and a DISP member, and we were named Acronis ANZ Partner of the Year in 2024.
What size and type of businesses do you work with?
We work with small and medium businesses and not-for-profits across Australia, typically those with around 10 to 100 staff. We have particular depth in regulated, security-conscious sectors, including professional services, legal, accounting, medical and defence-related work.
How do I know if my business needs a managed IT provider?
It’s usually time when technology problems start slowing your team down, when no one is clearly responsible for security and backups, or when you’re growing faster than your current setup can handle. A managed IT provider takes ongoing responsibility for keeping your systems secure, supported and running. We can review your setup and tell you honestly whether you’d benefit.
How do we switch from our current IT provider?
Switching is more straightforward than most businesses expect. We start by understanding why you’re making the change, so we fix the real issue rather than inherit it, then plan the move to avoid disruption. We stay closely involved through onboarding to genuinely understand how your business works, rather than just taking over the IT, and we manage the handover so your team keeps working throughout.
